Introduction

We are Huuti. Welcome to our Site. There are a few things we need to cover here, none of which should be surprising. If you wish to make a suggestion or fix something, please tell us.

Huuti is the trading name of Huuti Ltd, a Company registered in England and Wales (Company Number 10347447) with its registered office at 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, England, WC1N 3AX.

The FCA is the independent watchdog that regulates financial services. Our Firm Reference Number is 824712. You can check this on the Financial Services Register by visiting the FCA’s website at https://register.fca.org.uk

We are an independent company and are not otherwise linked to any lender or financial institution.

These Terms of Use apply to Huuti and incorporate the Terms for our Website.

Our Website

This Website, and the information found within it, is not used to recommend, either expressly or by implication, any particular lender or credit provider. The Website contains facts which may later enable you to make a more informed
decision. Those facts include the features of each credit product, whether your credit score indicates that typically you will be accepted for the product, and how our other customers have rated each provider in terms of customer
satisfaction.

The order and descriptions of listings of lenders on our website are impartial and are not affected by any commission we may receive from lenders who may provide credit to you after following links from our website.

We are not a Lender within the meaning of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 (and subsequent amendments), or within the meaning of the Financial Conduct Authority’s Consumer Credit Sourcebook (CONC).

Where you have provided us with consent to do so, we’ll use your email address to keep you up to date with our news. You can opt-out of receiving such information from us whenever you wish. To do this simply follow the unsubscribe
link in any of our emails.

We’ll also use your email address to search for information that’s already available. We may also use your email address for customer research, by searching for information that’s already commonly available, like public comments
on social media. If you don’t want us to do this, simply unsubscribe. The information you provide to us is subject to our Privacy Notice, which is available on our website.

  • Your information

    The information you give us is used by a mortgage provider to decide whether to offer you a mortgage. We will always aim to ensure that we accurately pass on the information you have provided to us to the product or service
    provider for the purpose of applying for the mortgage on your behalf. We will not be obliged to check any information which you provide, and it is your responsibility to ensure that it is accurate and up-to-date. You
    may be committing a criminal offence if you knowingly provide misleading information for the purpose of obtaining a mortgage.

    The information you have provided is subject to the Privacy Notice of Hutti, which is available on our Website. You may request confirmation of the information we hold about you, to which we will respond within 30 days.
    You consent to us or any company associated with us for processing your personal data in accordance with the Privacy Notice of Hutti.

    We may undertake checks via credit reference and fraud prevention agencies to manage your account with us. Please note that these checks should not affect your credit rating. Furthermore, any of our Product Providers (including
    Credit Providers), may also undertake checks via credit reference and fraud prevention agencies to obtain information with regards to your credit profile. This may affect your credit rating.

  • Marketing Services

    Where you have signed up for our Marketing Services, we may contact you by email, SMS, direct mail, phone or social media post from time to time with details of marketing promotions, other services we may provide and with
    relevant news and comment that may be of interest to you as a mortgage applicant or owner.

    You can opt out of receiving notifications of this sort at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” from Huuti’s marketing emails.

    If you change your mind, you can re-subscribe at any time by emailing  from your sign-up email account.

  • Complaints

    If you have a complaint, you may be do so by writing to Huuti Ltd, 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, England, WC1N 3AX, calling or emailing 

    Please include your name and address, a contact telephone number and details of why you are unhappy. If we need more information to investigate your complaint, we will try and contact you to ask for further information.
    Please be in contact with us if you wish to obtain a copy of the firm’s Complaint Handling Procedure.

    If we cannot resolve your complaint within one working day of receiving it, we will send you a written acknowledgment and explain the next steps. We will normally send you our final response within one week of receiving
    your complaint and will always endeavor to send our Final Decision letter within 4 weeks. If for some reason, we are unable to do so, we will write to you explaining why this is the case and we will indicate when we
    expect to provide you with a final response.

    Where we are still unable to complete our investigations within 8 weeks of your complaint, we will send confirmation of this in writing along with an explanation as to why we have been unable to complete our investigations
    within this time scale. We will confirm when you can next expect contact from us. At this point, if we are unable to resolve your complaint or if you are still unhappy with our response to your complaint, you may be
    able to complain to the Financial Ombudsman Service who may be contacted by writing to The Financial Ombudsman Service, Exchange Tower, London E14 9SR, calling 0800 0234567 or emailing complaint.info@financial-ombudsman.org.uk. We are obliged to submit to the alternative dispute resolution procedure operated by the Financial Ombudsman Service.

  • Our Responsibility for Loss or Damage Suffered by You

    If we fail to comply with the service standard set out within this document, we will be liable for the loss or damage you suffer that is a reasonably foreseeable result of that failure. Loss or damage is only a reasonably
    foreseeable result of a breach if at the time we entered into this contract it was an obvious consequence of our breach or was specifically contemplated by, and communicated in writing between, you and us.

    Except for the above paragraph we exclude, to the greatest extent permitted by law and under the regulatory system, liability for all loss or damage that you may suffer in connection with our provision of the Mortgage Service
    to you. This applies regardless of the legal principle that would, were it not for this section, entitle you to a remedy.

    We only supply the service for domestic and private use. You agree not to use the service for any commercial, business or resale purposes, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business
    interruption, or loss of business opportunity.

    We do not in any way exclude or limit liability we may have for:

    • death or personal injury caused by our negligence
    • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; and
    • anything that cannot be excluded under section 57 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

    If you apply for and obtain any product or service, you will be contracting with a third party who will be providing that product or service to you on their own terms and conditions. We are not responsible or liable for
    any loss or damage you may suffer or incur in connection with any product or service you obtain after using our Mortgage Service or for any acts, omissions, errors or defaults of any third party in connection with that
    product or service.

  • Professional Indemnity Insurance

    We conform to the FCA requirements in respect of Professional Indemnity Insurance. This type of insurance is mandatory for mortgage & insurance intermediaries.

  • Financial Services Compensation Scheme

    If you make a complaint and we are unable to meet our liabilities, you may be entitled to compensation from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim:

    Mortgage : Mortgage advising and arranging is covered up to a maximum of £50,000. Further information about the compensation scheme arrangements is available from the FSCS.

    Insurance : Advising and arranging of optional insurance policies is covered for 90% of the claim, without any limitation. Compulsory insurance policies are covered 100%.

  • Applicable law

    These Terms of Use, it’s subject matter and formation, and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the Courts of England and Wales. You and we both agree that the courts
    of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any disputes except that:

    • if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you and we may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and
    • if you are resident of Scotland, you and we may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
