“ My journey so far

My journey so far, sold a car that was completely different to the one I went to collect and not suitable for my low mileage. Any issue that I have raised about the car has been put down to wear and tear despite the lack of mileage I have put on it and it being metal falling apart. So far leading to two major engine failures which I have been expected to pay for. On the phone I am told to get reports and diagnostics and promised reimbursements, even agreeing that I should pay out for courtesy cars, causing me to pay out more money even though they have already decided that the faults I have given them are wear and tear and that they will not be paying for the repairs. Refused my attempts at negotiations or mediations and now I’m taking to the financial ombudsman so that I can get help. “

2-star review

“ Worse situation than I was before I got the car. Avoid this and deal with bad credit instead.

A bit of a middle grounded review. I don’t feel there is adequate communication between Go Car Credit & their dealerships, otherwise I’m sure my review would be at least 4 stars.

We purchased a car from MA Car Group in walsall, financed by this company, as our busy work life needed a reliable car. We pay over £200 for this car and were offered a 6 month warranty with the dealership. (You’ll see on their reviews that I was not the only one offered this warranty)

The dealership has in fact shut up shop due to being complete thieves and selling dodgy cars so were caught out. Not that this makes a difference as the warranty wasn’t honoured in the slightest.

This car was supposed to help us to work more and make our lives easier, instead it blew up on the motorway after 5 months of owning it.

The “mutual” mechanic from ACE (provided by go car credit) wrote a distasteful report on what he “thought” could be wrong, yet was adamant it was the fault of myself, despite stating in the same diagnostic that it needed further investigations.

We have now taken this to the ombudsman and will not give up fighting as we are still making payments 5 months on for a car that does not work. By next month we would have spent a good amount over a grand for this car and we are very sad that it has come to this.

Communication was poor during the whole complaints process and they didn’t seem to know what they were doing. This was our last chance at getting a decent car even if it cost us an insane amount due to poor credit, but it definitely feels as though we were taken advantage of due to our situation.

However, Ben from the collections team was incredibly understanding about our financial situation and was happy to help us through a tough month.

I hope they deal with the ombudsman better than they dealt with me, if all else fails it will be dealt with through my legal options.

I’d recommend getting the bus or buying a bike whilst saving for a decent car instead of dealing with cowboy dealerships & companies.  “

3-star review

“Go credit staff and assistant is good…

Go credit staff and assistant is good but the car dealership I wasn’t as happy with Bletchley car sales, 1. The car was sold with 12 months MOT with a detective tyre ie illegal. 2. The vehicle was advertised incorrectly the spec on the car did no way match anything on the advertised vehicle.

I would certainly not recommend them and feel very aggrieved that’s with interest I’m spending over 8 thousand and was expecting a little more from the car as it was advertised to have more spec than it actually had “

4-star review

“ Simple process

Simple process, no hassle tells you how much you can have, dealer works to your limit or in my case took almost 3k off the car. “

5-star review
